Megan discovered Pilates in 2010. As a hypermobile person, she found in Pilates a kind of strength, stability, and connection to center that years of yoga and other movement practices hadn't provided. The relief from chronic back and neck pain was almost immediate, and she was hooked. But pain relief was only the beginning.
Megan values Pilates for its elegant ability to reveal our movement patterns and teach the strength, awareness, and control that is needed for functional movement. Her goal is to help students move through life with greater stability, ease, and connection. In a world that constantly challenges our ability to be embodied and stay grounded, Pilates offers a beautiful antidote.
Megan completed her Movement Insights teaching certificate in 2019 after years of dedicated personal practice. She brings depth, curiosity, and keen attention to detail to her teaching, drawing from a diverse background that includes a 500-hour Alignment Yoga training, meditation practice, CoreAlign Level I, Primitive Reflex Integration (Levels I & II), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level I for working with trauma and nervous system regulation.
